Sole trader. This is one person, not a company. There is no GmbH, no UG and no partnership behind it.
Commercial register
None. A sole trader of this size is not entered in the Handelsregister, so there is no register court and no register number to state.

None. Publishing this site is not an activity that needs an official licence, so § 5 (1) no. 3 DDG does not apply.

Christoph Paterok, at the address above.
Named under § 18 (2) MStV, which applies because this site carries journalistic and editorial content.

Consumer dispute resolution

This site sells nothing. No contract is concluded here, so there is no consumer dispute for a conciliation body to settle.

Beyond that: we are not willing and not obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle).

What this site is

The Nile Collection is an independent editorial record of luxury vessels on the Nile. It is not a travel agency, not a tour operator and not a booking site. We take no commission, carry no affiliate links, sell no advertising and accept no payment for inclusion, placement or removal.

We do not arrange, broker or sell travel. If you want to book a boat listed here, you deal with its operator or your own travel adviser, and we are not a party to that.

Nothing on this site is a travel offer, a price quotation or advice on a specific booking.

Accuracy and liability

Every factual statement here carries the source it came from and the date it was checked. Facts about boats change without notice: prices move, boats are refitted, sold, renamed or laid up. A value on this site is what we found on the date shown, not a guarantee of what is true today. Where a value is past its shelf life we say so rather than hiding it, on the data health page.

Tell us something here is wrong and we will check it and reply within five working days. Corrections are published with the old value, the new value and the reason, in the corrections log. We do not edit silently.

This site links to operator websites and to press coverage. We check a link when we record it and archive what it said at that moment. We have no control over those sites and do not adopt their content as our own. If a linked page later becomes unlawful, tell us and we will remove the link.

Our liability follows §§ 7 to 10 DDG and the general law. A disclaimer on a web page cannot change either, so we are not going to print one that pretends otherwise.

Copyright

The text, the assessments, the structure of the record and the compiled data on this site are ours. Quote us and link to us freely. Republishing a page or a substantial part of the dataset needs our written permission.

Boat names, operator names and brand names belong to their owners and are used here to identify the thing being described.

Data protection

What this site records about visitors, why, for how long, and what you can demand of us is set out on the privacy page.

Version of 13 September 2026. This page is written in English because the site is in English. Where German law is what is being described, the German term is given so the requirement can be checked against the statute.
