Who pays us
One company pays this site, for visits sent to it from a button marked "Paid link". Nobody pays for anything in the record.

What is not for sale
Whether a vessel is in the record, where it appears in any list or sort, any fact on it, and our view of it. Nobody can pay to be added, to be moved up, to change a value or to have a statement removed. That includes the partner above.
The partner does not see a record before it is published and has no say in what it contains. We do not show them drafts.
A paying partner is never the only source for a fact. Anything taken from their pages needs a second, independent source before it goes on a record.
We take no commission on bookings. We do not take bookings at all, and we do not see what anybody books after leaving this site.
How the paid link works
Each vessel record carries one button, below our view of the vessel, in a box headed "Paid link". It goes to a general page about Nile cruises on the partner's site. It does not mean the partner sells that particular vessel, or that we recommend booking through them.
The button passes through an address on this site, which counts the click and forwards you. The partner learns that the visit came from this site and from which vessel record. They do not learn who you are from us. The details are in the privacy notice.
The link is marked as sponsored for search engines, so it passes no ranking credit.
Why there is a partner at all
Keeping this record current costs hours every month. A marked link that pays per visit covers some of that without touching what the record says. If it ever needed to touch the record to continue, it would stop instead, and this page would say so.
