Our view
El Nil is the cheapest way onto this operator's route and the operator describes it as its most traditional boat, which is a fair way of saying the smallest cabins and the oldest fit-out. The crew, the food and the itinerary are the fleet's, so what you give up is room rather than experience. One thing to check before you book: the boat appeared in a single bookable week in September 2026 while sister boats showed three, which may be demand and may be something else.

What we could not establish
Every empty cell above has a reason. These are the reasons for this vessel, written down at the time the record was made, including the places where published sources contradict each other.
The boat page lists 2 Panoramic Rooms, 7 Rooms and 1 Cabin, giving a total of 10 units. The booking search card for the same boat says 9 Rooms and 20 Guests, which does not reconcile with the operator's own stated limit of 2 guests per room. The unnamed Cabin has no description, no bed configuration and no square metre figure on the boat page, unlike the Panoramic Room at 14.00 m2 and the Room at 11.40 m2. It may be a single, or it may not be sold to guests at all. The cabin count we publish requires a decision on how to treat that unit.
The boat page gives the vessel's dimensions as 45m x 7.5m. The fleet index and the booking search card both give 43m x 6.7m. These figures do not reconcile and no third source resolves them.
No refit year is published anywhere. The operator describes a full fleet upgrade to solar and battery air conditioning that includes El Nil, but gives no year for it, so the refit year is blank.
The crew count, deck count and flag of registration are not published per vessel. Whether the boat has a pool or jacuzzi is also not stated. Swimming is in the river, on days 3 and 5 of the itinerary.
El Nil appeared in the live booking search for one week only, 14 to 19 September, while other boats in the fleet appeared across all three weeks the search returned. That may reflect sold-out weeks rather than a vessel that is laid up.
The operator's own description calls El Nil the most traditional of its dahabiyas, with smaller cabins and original bathrooms rather than the updated bathrooms listed on the newer hulls. This is a positioning signal relevant to any comparison across the fleet, not an assessment of quality.
