Kazazian Arax

Small river ship. Operated by Kazazian Cruises.

Not verified as sailing  checked 12 Sep 2026

We have not confirmed that this vessel is currently in service. That is a statement about our checking, not a claim that it has stopped.

Our view

high comfort

This is a charter yacht that happens to sail the Nile, and the 24 crew to 18 guests ratio is the product. It is also almost entirely unpriced in public: the one number in circulation, 180,000 dollars, is a broker's and is quoted both as a week and as a five night trip, which cannot both be right. Treat everything here as a starting point for a conversation rather than as a specification.

Who it suits

  • A group of up to 18 taking the whole boat
  • Travellers who want laundry, spirits and a private guide inside the price
  • Anyone who wants an owner's suite rather than a cabin
  • Guests who prefer a charter to a fixed programme

Who it does not suit

  • Solo travellers and couples, there are no shared departures and the only price anyone publishes is 180,000 dollars for the whole boat
  • Anyone who wants a per cabin rate, both routes read price upon request and the site has no rates page
  • Travellers who need to know the cabin mix, four sources give four different suite counts for nine units
  • Anyone who needs a date, there is no calendar and no weekly pattern anywhere
  • Guests who want an accessibility answer, the operator publishes none and neither do its five resellers
Service style
Private yacht model with 24 crew for 18 guests, sold by email as a whole boat charter rather than as scheduled departures.
The cabin we would book
The owner's suite. Every source that breaks the boat down names one and puts it far above the rest, and on a charter product it is the room the price is really about.
Nearest alternative: Kazazian Berge
Sister products from the same house, both nine units for 18 guests with a plunge pool and no published rate. Arax is longer at 60 metres with 24 crew and is the one with a broker price attached. Berge is 55 metres with 22 crew and no figure anywhere. See its record →
Everything in this box is opinion, not a sourced fact, and we say what it rests on: desk research only, by Christoph Paterok, 12 September 2026. Nobody here has sailed this vessel. Read it as a careful reading of the published record, which is what it is.
Published rate
Whole-boat charter from $180,000, whole boat, whole cruise.

Shown in the currency the operator published it in, on the basis the operator sells it on. We do not convert currencies and we do not divide a package total into a nightly rate, because both would produce a number nobody quoted. See how this compares on the rates page.

What we could not establish

Every empty cell above has a reason. These are the reasons for this vessel, written down at the time the record was made, including the places where published sources contradict each other.

No source we read gives a starting rate. Both routes show "Price upon request" on the journeys page and there is no rates page in the site navigation. The only figure found anywhere is a third-party broker price of USD 180,000, given both as a per-week figure and as a 5-night itinerary figure. It is a whole-boat figure and cannot be converted into a per-person, per-night rate, so no starting rate is published here.

The suite count cannot be settled from published sources. The operator states nine air-conditioned units for Arax without a breakdown. Charter and Dreams says nine cabins made up of standard cabins, three spacious suites and an owner's suite. Two reseller pages say five cabins of 26 sqm, two suites of 39 sqm and a 140 sqm owner's suite, which totals eight units. Red Savannah calls all nine of them suites.

No weekly departure pattern and no dated calendar appear on the journeys page or either itinerary page, so departure days are not established.

The FAQ says peak seasons are from September to April but names no closure month, so the operating season is not established.

The flag and registration, the refit year, accessibility information and the minimum age policy were not found on the operator site or on five adviser and reseller pages. A broker listing gives a launch date of 2024, which would make a refit unlikely, but that is not evidence of the vessel's registration or accessibility arrangements.

The operator markets Arax as a private yacht with a 1:1 crew ratio and sells only by email, which places it closer to a charter product than a scheduled river ship.

Recorded 12 September 2026. If you can settle any of these, tell us and we will correct the record in public.
