Queen Farida

Dahabiya. Operated by Queen Farida (own operation; sister to Princess Farida).

Sailing, two sources  checked 12 Sep 2026

Our view

comfortable

The exclusions are the story here. You are buying a cabin and your meals, and the guiding, the entrance fees and the transfers are all extra, which makes the headline comparison with other boats in this collection misleading. Add to that a website still advertising a season that ended in December 2025, and the sensible move is to get a current, itemised quote before considering it at all.

Who it suits

  • Travellers who want to arrange their own guiding and sightseeing
  • Anyone who wants five or seven nights rather than the usual five
  • German speaking guests, the boat has a German sales agent

Who it does not suit

  • Anyone comparing prices with other boats here, the guided excursions, the entrance fees and the transfers are all excluded and most competitors include them
  • Travellers who want a price at all, both operator itinerary pages say price on request
  • Anyone checking whether the operation is current, the operator's own itinerary pages still print a season running to 31 December 2025
  • Guests who want a charter, nothing on the site offers this boat whole and the one minimum party size published belongs to a different vessel
  • Anyone who believes this is the sister of Princess Farida, the operator never mentions that boat and pairs this one with Queen of Egypt
Service style
Sailing boat run by an Egyptian company with a German sales agent, leaving Sundays, selling the cabin and full board while charging for the guiding separately.
The cabin we would book
One of the two suites. The operator distinguishes nothing else on board and states there are no three bed cabins, so the suite is the only step up available.
Nearest alternative: Princess Farida
Two similarly named boats from unrelated companies at a similar size. Princess Farida publishes rates and includes the guide and the entrance fees. Queen Farida publishes no rate and excludes both. See its record →
Everything in this box is opinion, not a sourced fact, and we say what it rests on: desk research only, by Christoph Paterok, 12 September 2026. Nobody here has sailed this vessel. Read it as a careful reading of the published record, which is what it is.

What we could not establish

Every empty cell above has a reason. These are the reasons for this vessel, written down at the time the record was made, including the places where published sources contradict each other.

Our record calls this boat a sister to Princess Farida. The operator site does not support that. It pairs Queen Farida with a second boat called Queen of Egypt and never mentions Princess Farida, which trades on its own domain at princessfarida.com. The Egyptian contact is El Farida Company and the German contact is Jeska Inspiration, whose own site at aegypten-reisen24.com carries the same vessel pages. Whether El Farida Company also owns Princess Farida is unresolved.

No rate is published. Both operator itinerary pages say price on request. The only figures we found are package totals that cannot be converted: Egyvacations shows from 1,350 USD with no basis or night count stated, and Saga sells an 11-day escorted tour containing 5 cruise nights at 4,995 to 6,095 GBP per person including flights and 5 hotel nights. Neither figure is a vessel rate, so the starting rate, top rate and charter rate are not published here.

Charter is unresolved. Nothing on the operator site offers Queen Farida as a whole-boat charter. The only minimum party size published on the site, six persons, is attached to the Queen of Egypt 7-night cruise, not this boat. The charter minimum is therefore left blank rather than recorded as unavailable.

No source we read gives a build or launch year, a refit year, a flag and registration, a crew count as a number, or a deck count. Titan Travel gives a crew-to-guest ratio of 1 to 1 but no headcount. Accessibility is left blank because no source states anything factual about step-free access, stairs between decks or an accessible cabin, and boarding is from the bank or from islands.

The operator's own itinerary pages still print a season of 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2025. The site is not being kept current. The operating season is therefore left blank, even though Saga's dated departures run September to November and January to May.
