Our view
A 1918 hull with a hotel brand on it, a pool and 65 crew, which makes it the more conventional of the two Nile steamers to travel on. The 2006 refit is now twenty years old and nobody publishes anything more recent, which is the number we would press on. The inclusions contradiction between the brand and its agency is not small either, because it decides whether your sightseeing is paid for.

- Travellers who came for a historic hull with hotel branding behind it
- Anyone who wants a long Cairo to Aswan itinerary, this boat offers fourteen nights
- Guests who want a pool on a period ship
- Travellers who prefer fixed Monday and Friday departures

- Families, the agency selling the ship states children are not allowed and the hotel brand states no policy at all
- Anyone who wants to know what is included, the agency says full board with sightseeing and transfers and the brand's own page implies excursions are charged separately
- Travellers who want a rate, no price is published anywhere reachable and the two figures in circulation are an agency average and a charter package with flights
- Guests who need an accessibility answer, neither the brand nor two specialist sellers says anything about steps, lifts or door widths
- Anyone buying on the refit, the last recorded one was 2006

What we could not establish
Every empty cell above has a reason. These are the reasons for this vessel, written down at the time the record was made, including the places where published sources contradict each other.
No rate is published on any source we read. The Accor page routes to the Accor booking engine with no tariff, and the factsheet and itinerary PDFs carry no prices, so the starting rate is empty. Two figures exist but neither fits a published lowest rate. ETL Travel quotes an average nightly rate of 750 USD per person, which is an agency average, not a published lowest rate. Noble Caledonia publishes 7,895 to 10,995 GBP per person for its 14-night charter, but that total includes economy scheduled flights, a tour manager, a guest speaker, gratuities, transfers and airport taxes, so it cannot be reduced to a per-person per-night cruise rate.
Inclusions and exclusions are empty because the two sources conflict. ETL Travel says prices are full board and include sightseeing with a private guide, transfers by private coach and entrance fees. The Accor page instead offers panorama suite guests complimentary airport transfers and 10 per cent savings on sightseeing excursions, which implies excursions are charged separately on direct bookings.
Accessibility is empty. Neither Mövenpick, Noble Caledonia nor Steppes states anything about steps, lifts, cabin door widths or wheelchairs.
The charter rate and charter minimum are empty. Noble Caledonia runs full-ship 14-night programmes, which appears to be whole-boat charter, but no source states charter terms, a minimum cabin count or a charter rate.
The CruiseMapper page cited in the operator record, cruisemapper.com/ships/Movenpick-SS-Misr-1482, now serves a different vessel, the Emerald Lumi. The Traveline ownership claim could not be rechecked.
Mövenpick and Accor brand the ship as Mövenpick SS Misr. The Cairo sales office is Mövenpick Nile Cruises Management, 74 Beirut Street, Heliopolis.
The deck count, crew count and guest capacity all rest on single third-party sources that disagree with each other.
