Agatha

Dahabiya. Operated by Nour El Nil.

Sailing, one source  checked 12 Sep 2026

One source says this vessel is sailing and we have not found a second. We never infer that a boat is in service from the absence of news about it.

Our view

high comfort

Agatha and Adelaide are the same boat at the same price in every way that shows on a comparison table, and the difference that matters is four guests and the suite mix. If you want the fleet's newer build quality without the fuller deck, this is the one. The published tips contradiction is small but it is the operator contradicting itself twice in August 2026, so get the answer in writing.

Who it suits

  • Couples who want quiet
  • Travellers who want a 2020 hull at 20 guests rather than 24
  • Anyone who wants a fixed weekly departure day
  • Groups of up to 20 taking the whole boat

Who it does not suit

  • Wheelchair users and anyone who cannot manage stairs, there is no lift on any boat in this fleet
  • Four people who want to share one room, Agatha has only two suites and no Deluxe Suite
  • Travellers who want a pool, there is none and swimming is in the river
  • Anyone who wants to know whether tips are included, the operator says included on one page and not included on another
  • Guests who want a price for anything above the entry room, only the Luxury Room rate is published
Service style
Family run crewed sailing boat leaving Luxor on Tuesdays for a fixed five night route to Aswan, with one guide for the whole boat.
The cabin we would book
A Panoramic Suite. There are two of them and they are the only rooms on Agatha that are not a Luxury Room.
Nearest alternative: Adelaïde
Both are 2020 hulls in the same fleet at the same 5,300 euro starting price. Agatha takes 20 guests and has two suites. Adelaide takes 24 and adds Deluxe Suites. See its record →
Everything in this box is opinion, not a sourced fact, and we say what it rests on: desk research only, by Christoph Paterok, 12 September 2026. Nobody here has sailed this vessel. Read it as a careful reading of the published record, which is what it is.
Published rate
€5,300 per cabin, whole cruise

Shown in the currency the operator published it in, on the basis the operator sells it on. We do not convert currencies and we do not divide a package total into a nightly rate, because both would produce a number nobody quoted. See how this compares on the rates page.

What we could not establish

Every empty cell above has a reason. These are the reasons for this vessel, written down at the time the record was made, including the places where published sources contradict each other.

The operator's own site contradicts itself on the vessel's length. The Agatha page gives 51m x 8.25m. The fleet index and the search card give 52m x 8m. No refit year is published for Agatha or for any vessel. The FAQ describes a "full fleet upgrade" to solar air conditioning but gives no date, so the refit year is empty.

No crew count, deck count or flag and registration is published anywhere on the operator's site.

Nothing on the site mentions a pool, plunge pool or jacuzzi. Silence is not evidence of absence, so the pool field is empty.

Charter is offered but no charter rate and no charter minimum cabin count are published.

Only the Luxury Room price appears on the live search, so the top rate is empty.

Tips are listed as included on the search page and in the main inclusions FAQ, but listed as not included in the cruise overview FAQ at https://nourelnil.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/39508705061645-Can-you-provide-me-more-information-about-the-cruise. These two positions are not reconciled anywhere on the site.

The calendar marks some weeks as high season pricing and a separate FAQ lists the high season weeks for 2026 to 2028, but no high season rate for Agatha is published.

Agatha and Adelaide are both 2020 builds and both start at EUR 5,300 per room, placing them at the same price point in the fleet.

Recorded 12 September 2026. If you can settle any of these, tell us and we will correct the record in public.
