One source says this vessel is sailing and we have not found a second. We never infer that a boat is in service from the absence of news about it.
Our view
AmaLilia is the current pick of the AmaWaterways Nile fleet, simply because it is the newest hull sailing and the only one whose specification is not in question. The accessibility statement is the most explicit of any operator in this collection and it is a refusal rather than a caveat, so read it before booking for anyone with limited mobility. As with every ship on this programme, the price is a package total and does not compare with a per night rate.

- Guests who want a pool and full restaurant service
- Anyone who wants a Monday departure they can plan around
Who it does not suit
- Anyone using a wheelchair, scooter or walker, the line states its Egypt itineraries are not recommended and that storage for those aids is unavailable on board
- Families with children under 12, that is the minimum on Egypt programmes
- Travellers who want a cruise only rate, the published price is a per person package total that mixes Cairo hotel nights with nights aboard
- Anyone comparing on the discounted figure, the struck through price on the EU storefront is a promotion and not the fare
- Guests who came for a small boat, this is 82 people on five decks
- Service style
- Hotel service model with a fixed daily programme, unlimited wine at lunch and dinner and guided excursions, on an eleven night Cairo round trip.
- The cabin we would book
- One of the thirteen suites. They are the smaller part of a 41 cabin ship, which makes them the scarce category rather than the default one.

What we could not establish
Every empty cell above has a reason. These are the reasons for this vessel, written down at the time the record was made, including the places where published sources contradict each other.
No starting rate was filed. The only published price is a per-person package total for the full 11-night programme: "From EUR 6,234" struck through to "EUR 5,384 per person" on the EU storefront. The struck price is a promotional offer and is not usable as a baseline. The EUR 6,234 figure is a per-person package total, which is neither a per-person-per-night rate, a per-cabin rate, nor a whole-boat rate. It cannot be divided safely to produce any of those, because the 11 nights mix Cairo hotel nights with nights aboard and the operator does not state how many nights are spent on the ship. The UK storefront prices the same trip as a fly-cruise with flights included, which is a different product again. A per-cruise-night rate would require the operator to publish the ship-night count separately.

The flag and registration, the refit year, and the charter arrangements were not found on any operator page. AmaLilia debuted in 2024, so no refit is likely to exist yet.
The operator's site geo-redirects visitors, so only the EUR and GBP storefronts were seen during research. USD pricing was not checked.
