AmaNubia

Announced, not yet sailing. Operated by AmaWaterways.

Not verified as sailing  checked 12 Sep 2026

We have not confirmed that this vessel is currently in service. That is a statement about our checking, not a claim that it has stopped.

Our view

Renderings, two November dates and a shared itinerary price are the whole public record on this ship. That is normal for a vessel this far from service and it is not a reason to book one. If the programme is what you want, buy it on a hull that exists.

Who it suits

  • Advisors tracking incoming Nile capacity
  • Travellers who want a first season sailing and can accept a slip

Who it does not suit

  • Anyone who needs certainty on the launch, the only dated public item is an August 2026 reveal of renderings and AmaWaterways publishes no announcement date
  • Travellers booking on the price shown against this ship, it is the shared itinerary price and not a fare for this hull
  • Anyone who needs a lift, third party listings disagree on whether the ship has one and the operator's page does not mention one
Service style
Announced AmaWaterways newbuild for the same eleven night Cairo round trip, with two published November 2026 dates and no confirmed service start.
Nearest alternative: AmaLilia
Same line, same itinerary, same inclusions, and AmaLilia is sailing today. AmaNubia is a slightly smaller layout at 76 guests and has two published dates and nothing else. See its record →
Everything in this box is opinion, not a sourced fact, and we say what it rests on: desk research only, by Christoph Paterok, 12 September 2026. Nobody here has sailed this vessel. Read it as a careful reading of the published record, which is what it is.

Accessibility notes
AmaWaterways booking terms state that accessible facilities may not be available on board or in many of the places visited. The line asks guests with a disability to say in advance what help they need, and says it will make a reasonable effort but is not responsible for denial of service by third parties. The AmaNubia ship page does not mention a lift or a wheelchair accessible stateroom.

What we could not establish

Every empty cell above has a reason. These are the reasons for this vessel, written down at the time the record was made, including the places where published sources contradict each other.

No source we read gives a date on which AmaNubia was first announced, and the ship's own page carries no announcement. The earliest dated public item found is a first-look press release covered on 5 and 6 August 2026, which reveals renderings rather than constituting the original announcement, so it was not recorded as the announced date. The same gap exists in the record for AmaCleo.

The starting rate is not filled. The only published price is a per-person package total for the 11-night trip: 5,384 EUR after a strikethrough from 6,234 EUR on the EU storefront. That total covers hotel nights in Cairo as well as nights on board. The operator does not publish the cruise-night split, so the figure cannot be divided into a defensible per-person per-night figure. It is not a per-cabin or whole-boat figure either. The AmaLilia record is empty for the same reason. The price shown on AmaNubia's ship page is the same shared itinerary price, not a ship-specific fare.

The operator's own page for AmaNubia is https://www.amawaterways.com/ships/amanubia, which carries the ship-specific facts. The link we currently hold points at the shared itinerary page rather than that ship page.

Departure days are not filled. AmaNubia's two published 2026 dates, 7 and 14 November, both fall on a Saturday, but fleet dates across September to November 2026 fall on mixed weekdays and the operator publishes no weekly pattern. Two dates are not a pattern.

The operating season is not filled. Only November 2026 dates exist for this ship and no 2027 dates are published, so any season figure would describe the route rather than the vessel.

Propulsion is not filled. No source we read states it. Charter availability, the charter minimum, and the charter rate are not filled. No charter terms are published for the Nile fleet.

Third-party listings disagree on whether AmaNubia has a lift. The ship was not yet in service at the time of research, so this could not be resolved.

CruiseMapper carries a suite breakdown, a gross tonnage of 1,700, and a Cairo shipyard. The operator publishes none of these figures. All three are unconfirmed.

Recorded 12 September 2026. If you can settle any of these, tell us and we will correct the record in public.
