Nuut

Dahabiya. Operated by Ashranda Boutique Hotels & Cruises.

Not verified as sailing  checked 12 Sep 2026

We have not confirmed that this vessel is currently in service. That is a statement about our checking, not a claim that it has stopped.

Our view

comfortable

We are not confident this is a separate vessel, and that is the most useful thing we can tell you about it. Agents describe twin sister boats, the operator writes about the pair and never about this hull, and no photograph, deck plan or specification separates the two. If you book Nuut, get the operator to confirm in writing which boat you are boarding.

Who it suits

  • Travellers who want a dahabiya at the lower end of the price range
  • Anyone happy to join a shared departure rather than charter

Who it does not suit

  • Anyone who wants to know what they are booking, no source anywhere publishes a single fact about Nuut alone
  • Travellers comparing cabin counts, four sellers give four answers and the three that agree share identical wording from one brochure
  • Anyone who needs current evidence that it sails, the newest review anywhere is from January 2024
  • Guests relying on the more detailed reseller pages, two of them carry very specific figures that no other source supports and that we treated as invented
Service style
Small sailing boat sold as a shared departure through volume agents, described everywhere as one half of a pair with Nuun and never described on its own.
Nearest alternative: Nuun
Nuun and Nuut are sold as one product on one set of pages. The open question is whether they are two hulls or one boat under two names, and the operator has never published anything that settles it. See its record →
Everything in this box is opinion, not a sourced fact, and we say what it rests on: desk research only, by Christoph Paterok, 12 September 2026. Nobody here has sailed this vessel. Read it as a careful reading of the published record, which is what it is.

What we could not establish

Every empty cell above has a reason. These are the reasons for this vessel, written down at the time the record was made, including the places where published sources contradict each other.

Vuut and Nuut are the same boat. The operator's own URL reads nuun-and-vuut-dahabyas, but the page title and heading on that same page read Nuut, and every agent that sells the boat spells it Nuut. Vuut is a typo in the URL. There is no seventh hull.

Whether Nuut is a distinct hull from Nuun, or a second name for one boat, is unresolved. Ashranda publishes no fact about Nuut alone. Every specification, itinerary and price found anywhere is written for Nuun and Nuut jointly. Agents describe them as twin sister boats, which points to two hulls, but no source separates them. Every field in this record other than the operator's own page should be read as a fact about the pair, not about Nuut alone.

The cabin count is contradicted four ways. Memphis Tours, egypttimetravel and maxim-tours all say 6 cabins plus 2 suites, giving 8 in total. timbuktutravel says 6 rooms in total. bastettravel says six suites and no more than twelve guests. semelegantvoyage says 8 cabins and 16 passengers per boat. The three sources that agree share identical wording and are probably copying one upstream brochure. We recorded 8 cabins. The guest capacity is left empty because 12 persons and 8 rooms do not fit together and no source resolves the conflict.

No starting rate or top rate is recorded. Ashranda publishes no rates and has no rates page. Agents publish per-person package totals. egypttimetravel shows USD 1,157 for a cruise the source describes as 4 to 5 days, so the night count is ambiguous and the total cannot be divided into a nightly figure. Memphis Tours shows USD 2,639 to 3,129 for the 8-day cruise and USD 1,890 to 2,437 for single occupancy. bastettravel shows USD 1,666 for 4 nights. semelegantvoyage shows EUR 2,190 for 6 nights. timbuktutravel shows from USD 1,100 per person per night, which is roughly three times every package total once divided, so that label appears wrong and we did not use it.

The departure days are published by agents but not by the operator, so that field is empty. egypttimetravel states Thursday for the Aswan start and Monday for the Esna start. The operating season is also empty. Two low-quality pages say October to April, and one of them also sells May to September at a discount, which contradicts the October-to-April claim.

semelegantvoyage.com carries specific figures that no other source supports, including a length of 55 metres, a 9-metre beam, two decks, a jacuzzi, 12 crew and cabin sizes in square metres. It also assigns a distinct colour scheme to each boat. We treated it as unreliable and used none of it. The same judgement applies to bastettravel.com.

Operating status is unverified. The newest review we found anywhere is from January 2024. memphistours.com returns a 403 error, but memphistours.co.uk serves the same content and was used instead.
