Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience

Announced, not yet sailing. Operated by Middle East Nile Cruisers (owner/operator) under Hilton/Waldorf Astoria brand.

Not verified as sailing  checked 12 Sep 2026

We have not confirmed that this vessel is currently in service. That is a statement about our checking, not a claim that it has stopped.

Our view

A single newbuild with 29 suites on five decks, no hull name and no published launch date. The one aggregator listing that appears to describe it is boilerplate applied to a ship nobody has built yet, and it contradicts the brand's own announcement. There is nothing to assess and we would treat any date you see for it as unsourced.

Who it suits

  • Advisors tracking incoming Nile capacity at the top of the market

Who it does not suit

  • Anyone who wants to book, nothing is bookable and no price exists in any currency
  • Travellers relying on the December 2026 inaugural date, it comes from one search summary that nobody has been able to attribute to a page
  • Anyone reading the aggregator listing for this ship, it describes a sun deck pool and four meals a day on a vessel that does not exist and the brand's own release names no pool
  • Guests who need any specification, there is no fact sheet, no length, no crew count and no guest capacity
Service style
Announced all suite newbuild under a hotel brand, with an owner operator behind it and no hull name, launch date or rate published by anyone.
Nearest alternative: Nile Seray
Two all suite newbuilds announced for the top of the Nile market. Nile Seray has a published rate table, a deck count, a lift and a date in its own rate table. This one has renderings and a brand name. See its record →
Everything in this box is opinion, not a sourced fact, and we say what it rests on: desk research only, by Christoph Paterok, 12 September 2026. Nobody here has sailed this vessel. Read it as a careful reading of the published record, which is what it is.

What we could not establish

Every empty cell above has a reason. These are the reasons for this vessel, written down at the time the record was made, including the places where published sources contradict each other.

This is one ship, not a programme and not a pair. Hilton and Middle East Nile Cruisers announced a single newbuild with 29 suites on five decks. No sister vessel is announced and no second hull appears in any source. We checked specifically whether an existing hull is being rebranded, as happened with MS Terramar. Nothing suggests that here. Every source calls it a newbuild, the coverage carries renderings rather than photographs, and no prior name is attached to it anywhere. No hull name has ever been published. The brand name is the only name in use.

No rate has been published in any currency. Nothing is bookable, so the starting rate, the top rate and the charter rate are all empty rather than estimated.

One search result summary referred to a December 2026 inaugural sailing reported by CruiseMapper. We did not retrieve that page and could not attribute the claim, so it is not in the record.

We saw an unattributed claim of up to 58 guests in 29 suites in a search summary. We could not trace it to a page, so the guest capacity is empty. If 58 is confirmed, the berth count is 58.

NileShips carries a listing for this ship with a sun deck pool, cabin air conditioning, four meals a day, belly dancing and a language list. That page reads as boilerplate applied to a ship that does not yet exist. Hilton's own release names only a spa, a fitness centre, Peacock Alley, a brasserie and a rooftop deck, with no pool. The pool, air conditioning, wi-fi, charter availability and booking channels are left empty rather than drawn from that listing.

No specification sheet exists. The flag and registration, vessel length, crew count, operating season, departure days, minimum age and accessibility are all unpublished. Accessibility in particular has never been mentioned by Hilton or by any trade outlet.

TravelAge West, Robb Report and Karry On all blocked automated retrieval and may hold figures we could not reach.
